About Us

Originally built as a rustic country home for a flyfisherman, we are situated on about 4.5 acres of high desert woodlands with spectacular mesa views, high up on the river valley off of NM Hwy. 173 two miles from the Community of Navajo Dam.

Our rental units consist of: a southwest-style 1600 sq. ft. house, the Stone House, with two bedrooms, six traditional beds, a large fully-equipped kitchen, laundry and woodburning stove, southwest style with saltillo tile throughout and Zapotec decor.  The San Juan Suite, a 1200 sq. ft. suite with two bedrooms, four traditional beds, sitting room and fully-equipped kitchen, southwest style.  The Fly Room, a cost-effective unit with two twins and a full Futon bed with a lovely, private patio area.   Two one-bedroom condos with a queen in the bedroom and two twins in the living room and fully-equipped kitchens, in a separate West Building.

All units are loaded with basics and many extras. Our property is conducive to group bookings and activities.  Experienced, professional and knowledgeable  GUIDE SERVICES  may be booked through the lodge (we do not participate in "kickbacks," therefore keeping your actual costs to a minimum) and catering is available for larger groups/flyfishing clubs.  Bookings are not restricted to "complete packages" and can be tailored to your needs.

We are two minutes from the downstream end of the public water in Navajo Dam and adjacent to BLM land, including private land access to the acequia with its unique challenges, parallel to the private land access on the lower San Juan River.

All units have outdoor gas grilles, four have fully-equipped kitchens and we are two minutes from our local eateries, saving you precious fishing time.  When we are "full up" we are not jammed with elbow-to-elbow people, nor restricted to small areas for hiking, mountain bike riding, etc.

Thanks to our many loyal, repeat guests, we are constantly adding whatever makes sense to make your trip the most enjoyable at the San Juan River.
